Pace Security Services Ltd. employs a diverse staff of 200 people, primarily in the London area. Our personnel are male and female, young and old, to meet our clients’ varied requirements.

We are the first and to date only manned guarding company to receive a community safety accreditation within the Metropolitan Police Service. Authorities rigorously vetted Pace before granting 11 of our officers expanded enforcement powers as accredited persons. These Pace employees will wear a nationally standardised badge, and will be able to stop and question persons suspected of disturbing the peace. They will also have the power, independent of the police, to confiscate alcohol in areas where it is prohibited. The accreditation is part of a 12-month trial project involving Brunel University, Pace, and the Metropolitan Police.

Pace was also one of the first security firms in the UK to be awarded approved contractor status by the SIA. We rigorously train every employee, and require that they complete the five-day SITO training course. Pace has earned an ISO 9000/2000 quality accreditation. We observe the BS7499 manned guarding code of practice, along with the BS7858 recruitment and vetting code of practice.
The company is owned and managed by one of the UK security industry’s most experienced professionals.

Pace Security Services Ltd holds the SIA Approved Contractor Status for the provision of Security Guarding services.

John formed Pace Security in 2001. He’s assembled an experienced team of security industry professionals that includes Finance Director Bob Wheeler, Operations Director Mark Verard and Customer Service Managers and Grant Read.

	MANAGING DIRECTOR John Malcolm spent five years on the Metropolitan Police force before entering the security business in 1975. He joined Consolidated Safeguards in 1980, and founded Trident Safeguards in 1985. This led to six years working in Australia at various security posts. In 1991 he returned to the UK to join Securiplan plc, where he more than doubled the company’s turnover as managing director.
	OFFICE MANAGER Ash joined us from University where she achieved a BSC (Hons) in Philosophy and Psychology and an MA in forensic Psychology. She joined Pace in 2006 and is currently employed as Office Manager. Ash is responsible for the management of the office and administration systems. She has been instrumental in improving our admin systems and enjoys the interaction with both management and employees.
	OPERATIONS DIRECTOR Mark has worked in the security industry for many years at a senior level, He has built himself a reputation for being a strong no nonsense individual. Mark joined Pace in September 2008 and has well and truly put his mark on the operations department. There is no doubt he is an asset to both Pace and the industry as a whole
	CUSTOMER SERVICE Grant joined Pace in October 2008, he has many years experience as a Customer Service Manager working with some of the industries leading security companies. His customer and employee relationship skills are second to none, he is highly respected within the industry.
